We seem caught between what we say we want and what we're actually willing to make the sacrifice to achieve. This frustrates all fans because you're a fanatic. Should we tone it down? Lower the expectations? That's not the message we get from BM and TH!

Bronco talks about undefeated and NC and best prepared (x) every fall camp...yet we have a tiny recruiting pool, don't utilize all practices, hire poor assistant candidates, play effort over playmakers, and proudly state (from a football program's perspective) that football is 5th. He publicly states we want into B12, and then we get embarrassed 4 weeks in a row on ESPN to MAC midlings.

Holmoe et al say we HAVE to be in when the mountain splits. That we will do what we have to to compete. He gets the legacy donors to pony up for Bronco and Rose salaries a few years ago to retain best coaches. We build a brand new FB indoor practice facility to keep up. We freaking made the jump to independence to get exposure (exposed? Check!), upped our scheduling for away games against good teams, etc.

Yet...we seemingly can't negotiate to get into a P5. And we can't get teams to come to Provo. We won't pony up money to clean up LES or build a new stadium or hire more qualified coaches.
