Fans are getting restless and dropping out because, while we talk about images of grandeur, we come up short of those every year. A clear expectation needs to be set with the fans about what the goals of this program are, and then an effort needs to be made that indicates the chosen goal is being pursued. So far, we keep hearing that the goal is national relevance, but the actions are telling us that football isn't at all important. It seems like the real goal is #1 and that they're just being passive-aggressive and non-confrontational. Thing is, I'd take being told that we're scaling back much better than I would hearing one thing and doing the other. It sounds like the admin is doing things behind our (the fans') backs right now. We're in the dark about the real goals of our program.
