You don't turn the keys of the kingdom over to someone that has not shown that he can get the job done on his own. Granted, Stanford's power running game has not been there this year because of a lack of a big-time running back but the defense has also taken a big step back as well. The guy just needs more time to see if he can so it. I would definitely be interested in bringing him in to head up a new defensive staff with having a good chance of taking over from Bronco when he steps away. Don't see that happening unless there is a shake up at Standord though.
