We recall he wasn't the first choice - but he was already internal and familiar
with the culture from a coaching perspective which is about all that made it acceptable to anyone following the team....
And if Bronoc is so horrible in so many people's eyes today then why would we want to go that route again but with someone with less inside experience on coaching at BYU?
Lance may be the answer - but he is not some top candidate on everyone's list today...in his 3rd month as a DC at a team under performing from their last 4 years at 5-4 is not likely high on anyone's actual list....
