It wasn't a jab at Bronco, rather at head in the sand, obstructionist, Bronco apologists on CB who think Bronco is the only man in the church holy enough to run BYU football. Bronco does a fine job with that aspect of the program but there are other LDS coaches out there who could do just as well or potentially maybe even better. Bronco doesn't own the franchise of being good, yet many act as though he's the only guy "good" enough. We have options and don't have to settle for a mediocre, on-the-field, football coach in order to get a good "church values/LDS culture" football coach.
