Worthington
I don't know that I've ever seen a more dramatic improvement in offensive skills from one year to another than what we've seen with Worthington this year.

Last year, he was basically worthless on the offensive end except for the stray offensive rebound and kick out to a shooter. This year, he actually has a set of post moves, including a jump hook, that can get him buckets in the paint. More importantly, he moves with purpose and confidence in the post, without hesitation.

Granted, we've played LBSU (a decent team) and two patsies, but his movement in the post is light years ahead of where it was last year. I don't expect him to be all that effective against the better teams we'll play with very good post defense (SDSU, Gonzaga, etc.), but it gives me hope that we can at least have a threat in the post this year without Aytes.

Does Pope get credit for his transformation? I don't know enough about it to have a real opinion. But if his improvement is any indication of Pope's coaching abilities, I would consider our bigs to be in good hands going forward.

If Kaufusi can make a similar leap from year 1 to year 2, with his athleticism, we'd be looking at a future dominant post player. Combine that with Aytes, Mika and Dastrup in the years to come and we will be stacked at the post position.
