The job of a TV play by play guy is much different from Radio. On TV, less is more. On the radio, the voice is all you have to go on, so the space has to be filled up with voice. Radio guys often step all over a TV telecast.

Personally, I have never cared for Wrubell's voice and style on the radio. I think it would be even worse on TV.
