I know the sky is still falling for some of you and BYU is hopelessly behind Utah at this point, but I just wanted to throw this out there.
Star rankings aren't worth much admittedly, but there isn't much else at this point that is useful to measure.
According to Scout, in terms of average quality of recruits, BYU and Utah are fairly similar. Some of that will change to some degree by signing day, but all in all the numbers aren't going to change dramatically. Even with all of the supposed disadvantages, BYU seems to be doing OK, similar to a number of PAC12 schools in terms of quality of signees. Utah to this point doesn't have a sudden huge windfall of 4 star recruits just because they are having some success in the PAC12.
OK guys, now that I've attempted to post something positive I expect to see some dismissive whining about star rankings and (lack of) player development.
