Talent is difficult to measure, but ask any coach or player and they'll tell you that the most productive players are not necessarily the most talented. Often athletic measurables like sprint speed, agility drills (3-cone, etc), size and strength, etc. provide us with a proxy for "talent."

The truth is, if we were to compete with the UofU's players in a freshman "combine" that measures speed and strength and agility I personally believe we would have a winning record over the last ten years. But we don't have a winning record on the field. So that would indicate that BYU has either been poor in evaluating players' ability in the mental side of the game, they have recruited players with less will to win, or they have done a poor job of developing the talent they have recruited. If the first two of those three things are true, that would really surprise me...
