I agree to some extent, but I think that when you actually hold the keys to
making this decision you do so with a whole different perspective than the logic seen here on CB. The people who know realize that this thing could REALLY go South REALLY quick if we aren't careful. We cant go through what the Utes have gone through the past 4 years and expect to survive in the new college football financial landscape. When you add the financial commitment that will be required in the new world... A poor hire go have us on the edge of the church settling for BYU to be SVU status.

I support coaching change, but I also realize that there is a HIGH chance it could blow up on BYU and hope they make a very well thought out decision and if the answer isn't there then lets wait another year, go to another bowl, and get the right guy or guys to take a crack at this thing and move to the next level. They have NO CHOICE as stewards to the program to analyze current leadership vs what they can get in the future. For all those saying - "Make the change now regardless of options, you don't stay status quo because there aren't any other proven realistic options", I think that is very short-sighted as to where this could go with the next staff as an independent.
