I didn't get the same thing. While it is distinctly possible that the blight was something to which man may have contributed, it was never stated that the end world issue was explicitly a man-made issue. It could just as easily have been a natural disaster. I'm glad they didn't do the man-is-destroying-the-world schtick. It gets old and feels like Hollywood is trying to ram an agenda down our throats.
