I really have learned a lesson this season...
I've been way to invested in the program. BYU football has led me into emotional territories I should never go into... Anger and frustration among others.

Today it has finally become clear to me what the solution is. I need to take a step back and become a casual observer. A casual supporter which is really what 95% of the fan base is.

I do need to find some hobbies to occupy my time in addition to occasionally catching a BYU football game. I do need to be ok with missing some games and checking in on BYU football every now and then.

It's been bad for my health. It's been bad for my family relationships and of course it should never go that far.

I think I'm ready to move on and shift down my fandom so to speak. I think it's for the best.

Politics drove me to becoming independent. I think the last few years is driving me to becoming independent in football.
