I'm going to make a big assumption here but I have to think that most non P5 players are pretty grateful that they can get an education and play football. Actually most P5 players on in the same boat. These guys are going to graduate and be like the rest of us looking for jobs and planning careers. What they did on the field are good memories for them and fans. Memories won't pay the bills. Just ask uncle Rico.

Do I really care who is #1 any given year...not really. It really is a game. The real value it brings are to those who play it. A fan can view it as entertainment or as support for the player and the institution. I find my life is better when I focus on supporting the player and the institution. Win or lose.
