He explained that kicking a field goal from so close was a certain 3 points, but that it was 50-50 that they would get stopped on 4th down, and he kind of hoped that BYU wouldn't make a 1st down. (BYU scored on that 4th down play). Bronco explained that reasoning to the other head coach after the game, not wanting to offend the guy.
Whether you love or hate Bronco, it was nice to see him try to not embarrass Savanna St any more than was necessary.
