He might be, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if he wasn't.
Doman was Bronco's hire, remember. Bronco had a ton of great things to say about Doman, just like Howell. Doman was touted by Bronco as the best QB coach in the country, and then after a number of seasons on Bronco's staff he was picked, by Bronco, to take over at OC. That lasted how long? Even with winning records and bowl appearances, and despite injury issues that clearly impacted the offense, Doman was canned, along with the entire offensive staff, just two years later. The fact that Doman was Bronco's pick, and the fact that Doman and the others were great ambassadors for BYU, were not enough to save them from being fired. There was a lot of pressure put on Bronco to make the change, and apparently a ton of that pressure came from Holmoe. It would not surprise me at all if similar pressure is being applied right now, and/or will be applied during the bowl break and/or after the season. Maybe Howell gets another year - I don't know. I just don't think BYU football is as patient with poor/inadequate coaching as many believe.
