On a day like today, bad weather for a bad opponent after a disappointing season, it's not surprising at all to see so few people actually in the seats. 52k seats sold, though, is a pretty darn good number. The actual number of people in the stadium today is not a legit indication of the state of BYU football, despite the crying and wailing by a few folks around here today.
