Same thing happens every year in the BM era. Preseason hype - expectations run high. Team loses 2-3 games they shouldn't and then the board starts assigning blame. Some say it's the coaches. Some say it's the lame fans. Some say that Lavell didn't do any better. Some say we should be happy with mediocre BYU teams. It's as good as can be expected. Step three - BYU beats three terrible teams in a row, and now all the pro-Broncoites come out of the woodwork to proclaim that we're back. They want to rewrite the bad October. They find excuses right and left. It's the injuries. Our opponents are better than we thought.....look how many of our opponents are becoming bowl eligible! (Don't pay attention to the crappy competition they played to get bowl eligible!). And the whole thing will start all over again next season. I can write the narrative right now. In August it will be "Taysom's back! Jamal's back!" Our linebackers are so much more experienced and better! We are injury free! But it will be the same tune. BYU will start by beating a team like Nebraska that has never played us and doesn't know our tendencies. Expectations will run sky high. And then we will lose a couple to teams like Utah State and Boise State. BYU will end up with 4 losses and go to the Louisville Kentucky Fried Chicken Bowl on Monday, December 22, 2015.
