BYU reached the zenith of its success in the 80's. Cool thing is we were able to grab the National Championship in the process. Utah hit their peak from 2004 to 2008 and grabbed two BCS wins. Both programs envy the other's hardware....don't for a second let Utah fan tell you isn't jealous of the crystal football in Provo.

In the end neither program will ever reach those heights again. Utah will always be second rate to Oregon's money or Southern California prestige. And BYU's academic standards tied to its moral code make it nearly impossible to win another National Championship.

Either way both programs have already gone through their respective golden ages. Just be glad that ours was able to win a National Championship that will always be in the books.
