If BYU is undefeated or has one loss they have as good a shot whether they are in or out of a G5. And G5 does not give any access to the playoffs and that is all that matters. An NY6 bowl is nice but no more meaningful than any bowl in the playoff world.

If we played New Mexico State we would be playing a better team that Savannah State, but we are also playing Cal in November - or did you forget that you need to include all of November, not just one Saturday. The MWC would not be that much better in Nov except that we would probably play Boise in Nov every year.
