I realize those teams have play makers that we do not have but I'm just talking about the actual plays.

Both of those teams use the zone read as a bread and butter play but the reason they are very difficult to stop is that they run OTHER plays that looks like zone read but have completely different blocking schemes (powers, traps, counters etc). Most of the times when they gash the defense it is because they have run one of these other plays that look like the same thing they do over and over.

If Robert Anae is trying to run what Rich Rod went up to RES and spanked the Utes with...he missed a couple of minor details that would make a HUGE difference.
