I'd say it's less about the style of play than it is about the overall level of
excitement generated by the program. We generally start the year off slowly with most of our losses. After this Bronco figures things out and the team starts looking a lot better. It's completely coincidental that this happens when we hit the weak part of our schedule, and things look bright again for next year. On top of this we know we're going to lose at least one game a year in an inexplicable fashion.

Rinse and repeat.

After a few years people start catching on to the patterns. This year looked like there was finally a change to the pattern, especially with a really weak schedule, and the wins in Sept got people's hopes up only to have them crushed once again along with Taysom's leg. That was terrible enough, but then to lose to Utah St (again) and drop two games in a row that we had a big lead in before getting pasted by, our rival (LOL), BSU and it's beyond obvious that Bronco is the problem.
