I look at the schedule and say we should win 8 games
We should beat Boise at LES. Always.
Michigan is just plain bad this year, and if nothing major changes over the offseason, we should beat them.
We should be beating teams like Uconn, ECU, Cincinnati, SJSU, Fresno, and USU.
That's 8 wins. If history is an indicator, we'll lose a game (or two) that we shouldn't, and we'll somehow find a way to win a game (or two) that we shouldn't. 8-4 is my expectation for next year. I think it's reasonable to expect 8 wins out of next year.
