That's a good thing!

Let's say one of the top-four teams loses this week and TCU/Baylor move up to the 4-spot. But then Ohio State or Alabama win their conference championship game and jump over idle TCU and Baylor. The Big-XII gets shut out of the playoffs entirely because they don't have the extra conference championship game. Wouldn't that ultimately force the Big-XII to expand to 12 so they can stay competitive with the other Power 4?
