Within a few months we packed up and moved to a new state, had no money, and struggled through an awkward stepdad phase that didn't work out. For some reason therapy was never considered, and the gravity of it all ended up taking a toll on my mom & siblings that continues to this day.

Even if everything seems fine now, I would encourage families who pass through tragedy to seek out some sort of therapy as soon as possible.
