if his defense can slow down Cal and hold them to less than there averages and beat Cal. I have maintained that Bronco even as a DC is much over rated because he can't stop good passing teams and RARELY faces good passing teams to prove that point. I put the level of "good" at top 40 in passing offense ANd Passing Efficiency or a combination of teh two. CAL fits that bill.

Thus if he stops them, I will give him credit for one of his best coaching jobs to date.

Caveat if our offense is inept and we lose, but his D does a good job against Cal's O, Even in that loss I will credit BM for a good coaching job on that side of the ball. Cal's D is soo bad that our offense should not be inept. At this point BYU's offense is ranked high in rushing and passing..so no excuses there.
