Yes, since last season we've only had 8 games that were within one possession in the final minute of regulation time, two of them being this season.
Reality is, BYU is a jump shot team, and they play like it. Usually, they either lose or win by a wide margin, depending on whether the shots fall. Their winning percentage is about the same as their jump shooting percentage in those one-possession games (.375). We win about as often as our shots fall, and it's pretty consistent, albeit from a small sample size.
Nothing all that irregular about it.
The good thing/bad thing is that, since we're relying on jump shots so often which sometimes just don't fall and other times fall regularly, we probably won't be in that many close games and will continue to lose more than we win if the percentages hold.
