I watched the game and saw the play live. Gaines broke Perkins jaw with a MMA kick to the face. After watching the replay for the fourth time, Bob Knight said, "that's not a basketball play." I haven't yet heard an explanation for how that was accidental. Gaines never checked on Perkins. He knew he fouled out and just slowly walked back to his bench and sat down. I just don't understand how you as a refereeing crew review that on the courtside monitor and determine that was a normal foul. BYU fans complain about officiating in Maui. If that was Winder who had his jaw broken, CB would be freaking out right now.
