So, we go to my sister in-laws and there's a nice looking turkey and side dishes including the ones we brought (Brussels sprouts with bacon and granny apples along with rice with cranberries and nuts... this is a Middle Eastern dish).
Turkey was dry and cooked without any seasoning. My bro in-law even said he made it that way so that everyone can add salt and pepper as they want. <00>
Same thing with mash potatoes.
I ended up eating bread with butter and the the stuff we brought and some green bean casserole which wasn't too bad. Everything else was awful.
As a side note: In the opening prayer the person stated... I pray that we may get along better this year and not fight with each other.
PS. There are many reasons we try to stay away from this side of the family. My wife asked if Popeye's was open on the way home.
The night would have been even "better" if we had gotten involved in some of the LGBT conversation that was going on.
