Don't start arguing that stupid clutch shooter stuff which every stat guru alive has proven is bogus.
Given a large enough sample size, ball players do about the same with the game on the line as they do at any other point in the game. That is a fact.
Haven't spent much time defending Haws over the years because it seemed he got his due here. But lately, the loonies seem to going after him...usually by the same people who have been wrong about every other player, from Abouo to Carlino.
BTW, that last shot by Haws vs Purdue was brilliantly planned. After having found space off a high screen by a big on four previous occasions, Haws faked the same play, then rejected the screen for the wide open baseline 16 footer. Not many hit that shot at a higher rate than Haws.
