Saturday will be an interesting day. Eastern Kentucky, a team I know nothing about, comes to the Marriott Center. They are undefeated, having beaten a bunch of teams I've never heard of. (excluding Southern Utah)

Thoughts on basketball. Despite the two disappointing overtime losses, I think this could still be a fun season for BYU. The Bigs have to improve. Coaches have to get these guys playing better and making a higher % of free throws. There is potential. Will it be met?

Fischer doesn't have to play lights out like he did against Chaminade. He just needs to be consistent. (Double figure scoring with few turnovers) IMO, BYU is very lucky to have him.


FOOTBALL: Will the Cougs hold Cal to less than 50? I hope so. I'm expecting a high scoring game, and I'm hoping that BYU's offense can match Cal's scoring. Can the BYU defense slow down Cal enough for the Cougs to win the game? Time will tell, but the Y offense had better show up big time.
