BART stoppages and delays due to all manner of things is not uncommon. A couple of derailments in the last 6 months, a tree falling on the tracks in the past couple of weeks, train brakes catching fire, civil unrest, union strikes, police actions, station flashers, etc. Since I live here and hear about it all, I don't know if the system issues are more than other transportation systems, but it sure seems like it.

I don't ride it personally, no need to, in addition to it always giving me a headache. No other train system in the world that I've been on does that, but without fail I have a headache on BART.
