Pet peeve: using "authentic" as synonymous with "good"
I personally don't care if a restaurant is authentic. But certain food snobs somehow believe authentic food is always superior. I get if you, say served a mission in Mexico City, wanting to go to authentic Mexican places. Otherwise, just go to places where the food is good.
