Every school in the country competing against BYU for a recruit uses that.
And they have the Brandon Davies story memorized. I don't blame them. It's a legit point of difference. I'd do the same.
So what do you do as BYU in that situation? Exactly what Bronco has tried to do, take a perceived weakness...and turn it into a strength. Make it a selling point for those few individuals who might be looking for precisely that environment. There aren't going to be many...and those that are will not likely be non-LDS future NFL players. It simply isn't going to happen.
BYU is what it is...in college football, but not of college football. It's a peculiar team.
