Why are the firesides the night before the game? Why not have them on Sunday nights after the Saturday games for the home games - they cannot practice football on that day anyhow? And do we really need 12 firesides = 1 for every game.

How about having 3-4 firesides total for the season with the first one the Sunday before our opening game.
Have the 2nd fireside during the BYE week.
And have a 3rd one after the last regular season game of the season on Sunday.

And you could even throw in a 4th a few days before the bowl game?

There is absolutely no need to have these firesides less than 20 hours before a football game. It was stated that this is a optional / volunteer thing to do but there is most likely team pressure to do these type of team activities.
