Fans that have lived through the 80's remember BYU as a school that sent guys to the NFL. We sent QBs up that won super bowls. We pumped DL, OL, and LB into the NFL on a regular basis. We've never seen ourselves as destitute of talent. Maybe at some positions (WR, DB) but in general we see ourselves as having better resources than any other "G5" program and many p5's.

The public sees us as like a Mormon service academy. Winning 8 games is a stunning display of grit.
