If Bronco is so highly respected, why aren't recruits coming to BYU? They came under Edwards. Why isn't BYU being invited to a major conference?

I get the impression that Bronco is the nice uncle type: good with the kids, nice guy, but no one takes him seriously. He's a great babysitter, but don't expect him to turn his players into All Americans or NFLers. Don't expect him to win a bowl game anyone cares about outside the Mountain Time Zone.

Enjoy the Miami Beach Bowl and an 8-4 record against mediocre teams. This is the best off all possible worlds.
