Red Sox and Cubs fans disagree.
Red Sox fans had a love/hate relationship with their teams for decades. Mostly hate for nearly 80, then lots of love. Cubs fans still have that love/hate affair.
It is called being a passionate fan. BYU needs more of them, not less. And there will be lots of self loathing throughout the process. It is part of the passion. Disinterested people, or one's "who have a life" are apathetic most of the time and don't care. Engaged, self loathing fans are way way better for a program.
