elections in North Korea. 100% healthy or not, if Taysom can put on pads and a helmet, he's the starter...and rightfully so, might I add. He could go down at any moment, but he might last the whole year and lead BYU to a heck of a season.  

If you were player that felt like you had the skills to succeed right now, why would you willingly accept a back-up role with no shot at becoming the starter?  This guy sat behind a couple of very good QB's at Mizzou and played really, really well in JUCO.  He's not some true freshman who thinks he's the greatest thing ever, he's paid at least some of his dues and deserves a legitimate chance to compete.
