Hobbits are just like people but half the size and they like to sing songs and drink a lot. They go to fight a dragon who drove the dwarves out of their mountain and took all their treasures. Along the way, they met some elves. They made it to the mountain, met the dragon, pissed him off, and now they are going to have a war.

Oh and the Hobbit met another weird creature called Gollum while the group was traveling though the tunnels under a mountain range. The Hobbit stole Gollums magical ring that makes you invisible when you wear it.
