I bought a light switch and an outlet switch. The outlet switch was obviously easy to set up, plug and play with about 30 seconds of app setup magic. The light switch was as easy to install as a standard wall switch (if you're in an older home and don't have a neutral wire passing through the box you're out of luck) and took the same 30 seconds of app setup.

I've built a few rules about when lights come on and off and so far it all works great. I can also override the on or off from anywhere using my phone or iPad. So far so good.

The next step is to test out the IFTTT functionality. Doing things like turning on lights when we pull into the driveway or turning them off when we leave. I'll se how it all goes. If it all works well enough I may expand and add more switches around the house.
