Coordinators, funding, and Lavell
I often hear the excuse that BYU's assistant coaches and coordinators are not very good because we can't afford to pay a competitive salary.
My question is, did Lavell have this same restriction? Did he just have a better eye for coaching talent? Was the coaching environment less competitive?
