Chase Ritz-Carlton Rewards card is offering a 140k bonus after $3k spend in 3 months. $395 annual fee (not waived), but you get a $300 credit towards certain travel expenses every year (like checked bags, in flight meals or movies, GlobalEntry fees, etc) so it ends up being a $95 annual fee. You also get a $100 hotel credit good for food or incidentals every time you stay 2+ nights on a paid Ritz-Carlton stay, and there is no limit to that. This card also gives you gold status at Ritz-Carlton and Marriott for the first year, and Platinum status if you spend $75k.
The Ritz-Carlton and Marriott programs are basically the same thing. You can enter your Marriott rewards number here and get the 140k points in your Marriott account, and use the points for Marriott or Ritz-Carlton stays. 140k points is up to 23 free nights at a Marriott (2 free nights at a Ritz-Carlton).
You can also transfer the points to airline programs. 140k points is worth 50k Southwest points, and I believe that counts towards a companion pass. So if both you and your wife sign up for this card, and then transfer the points to Southwest, you are only 10k points away from getting a companion pass.
