I started road biking about six months ago and have really enjoyed it. I got a Diamondback century bike off amazon and it has been perfect for me. When it comes to bikes I want something that will work and last but I don't need top of the line.

I am interested in getting into mountain biking as I live close to many trails and have friends that do it and started looking at bikes but I know nothing about mountain bikes.

What are your thoughts on this one?

I notice it doesn't have 29" tires which I have read people like but I don't know if that will make a difference for me. Also I noticed the front chainring is really small and I don't know why. Would this be a good entry level bike for someone like me? If someone could give me their opinions on this bike that would be great.

Also, I know Amazon isn't the best place to get a bike. I have Amazon gift cards to use so that is why I am stuck shopping off amazon. Otherwise I can't afford to get a bike so buying a used one isn't an option. Thanks for your help.
