what makes sundance a decent mountain is how convenient it is especially if you are coming from Provo. It is pretty small and the front mountain is full of beginners so it can be pretty crazy. I have seen some gnarly wrecks there because of beginners flying down the hill with no idea how to stop.

Anyways, to answer your question it is a fine mountain for beginners but for more skilled skiers it is pretty boring unless there is fresh powder in bishops bowl and you get up there early.
