How old is a the youngest child with access. I had easy access by 12, but I was
the youngest person living in the home. If you can let the older ones have access and not the younger ones, then maybe that's workable.
I grew up in rural Idaho and went hunting very regularly.

At what age would you leave a gun accessible to a kid anyway?

And according to others, you shouldn't say the word gun until the child is 20.

I usually start buying guns for my kids when they turn 12. Up until that point,

It really depends on the individual kid. I'd trust some kids around 8 or 9.
