1. I saw a few "choke" posts start to appear on CB last night. Don't go there. If you have followed this team, especially the last month and a half, they do a very good job closing out matches. If they lose, it will be because Penn St was better.

2. I've read posts that claim BYU has to be perfect to beat PSU. Why? Were they perfect against Texas? I will be very impressed if the Nittany Lions can maintain their composure even with all their program's incredible success. Yes, they pass better than the Longhorns, but the story of this tournament has been the Block Party. That is all anyone is talking about. It has to be at least a little bit in Penn St.'s head. BYU is going to continue to roll with this underdog, Cinderella story, chip-on-their-shoulder, Y Not BYU theme. I actually think having a freshman setter in Robins-Hardy is helping. She looks like she is running around out there having fun. Maybe Penn St will out think themselves and go with a strategy to defeat the blocking that they aren't totally comfortable with. This could be another physical, ugly, no-rhythm match that favors BYU.

3. It doesn't hurt that Hamson and Gray are playing their best ball of the year right now. Superstars come to play in championship games and both Gray and Hamson looked like they wanted the ball last night. I have never seen Hamson so aggressive as she did against FSU and Texas. She really set the tone in game one last night and looked mean at the end.
