I am totally impressed with the kid. He is not a QB prospect, but BYU saw that. But I think he is an exceptional WR prospect. He is fast, elusive and is probably pretty smart if you consider that the Air Force Academy and Cornell offered him. He also attends a private religious school in Dallas which may mean he is a religious kid. These are all attributes that should spell success at BYU. I wonder if he could develop into another Jordan Leslie.
TCU made its living off of recruiting athletes and then plugging them in and developing them where they had need. They would recruit QBs to play WR, RBs to play LB, and CBs to play safety. This is a great recruiting model that worked well for TCU and should work well for BYU. Tip my hat to the coaches and Martzen. I imagine Holliday was his primary recruiter.
