You could argue Exum has better #'s. And exum has zero experience. I'm not saying Payton won't be good someday but the dude sucks right now as evidenced by his stats. I think he will shape up to be a nice player but the dude has sucked this season. Just look at his #'s. I'm not talking up exum by any means, just saying he hasn't impressed me more than exum. Also, FYI I have watched nearly every Orlando game this year. The magic and jazz are 1a and 1B for me so I'm not biased against Payton. He has defensive ability and decent passing. I like his upside, but overall he has been pretty bad. Fans get too high on players based on single games. If you have watched him play 20 full games you would see he has some major flaws. I think he was a good pick for us for where he was drafted for sure though.
