I used to really wonder if the "academic freedom" was absent from BYU. My
only point of reference, i guess, is that two of my three kids went into BYU as politically conservative and with solid (so i thought) testimonies.

They came out ridden with white guilt, anti-American "imperialism", hard-core feminist, hard-core gay marriage advocates, and, pretty much, out of the Church.

Whether it was fomented in the classroom or informally through clubs, hanging out with others with similar ideas, the result is the same. They seemed to find no shortage of people willing to teach them the same stuff they'd have learned at other campuses such as those of the PAC 12.
