If no P5 ever comes BYU needs to be ready to create/join the 6th best conference
Whether it's joining the AAC (however, if the B12 takes Cincy and UCF then the MWC would be the 6th best conference).
I think their best option is to form a new conference with whatever teams are left who are willing to keep up with the P5 scholarship increases. This will likely guarantee a spot in an 8 team playoff when that comes in 10 to 15 years.
